Additional Costs
There will also be an yearly license fee (£200 plus VAT) This enables you to be a Certified Relax Kids teacher and use the Relax Kids name and logo, advertise your classes on the website and sell Relax Kids products Please note that your first year is free (from the date that your start the course - so giving you a year to set up your classes if you need it).
You will also need Public Liability Insurance - This is approx £75 a year. You will need a Police Check which is approx £55. This is renewable every 1 - 3 years ( it seems to vary from county to county). (Please note that you will only receive a certificate once you have sent in a copy of your Police Check and Public Liability).
To run your classes, you will need a CD player/ipod with speakers, a relaxation music CD, a Relax Kids t shirt (optional but advisable), a parachute if you want to incorporate parachute games,
You may also want to buy leaflets from Relax Kids (approx £4 per 100) to set up your classes. Some teachers also purchase inexpensive blankets and cushions and other small items (a puppet, magic wand ect) to help make their classes a little bit more special.
Please Note, that apart from your yearly license fee, Relax Kids do not take any additional monies from you. This is a license agreement and not a franchise (where a % of your takings are taken every month). You are free to earn whatever you like.
If you are outside the UK, you are welcome to come to England to take the two-day training course. You will be able to set up Relax Kids classes for children in your own country, but you will not be able to train other adults to teach. |
