Neuroscience is proving that meditation and mindfulness can make a huge difference to our brains.

alt text This is such good news for all of us who have been involved in practicing and teaching meditation and relaxation for the last ten years. In the news report, the BBC report David Sillito has taken a course in mindfulness meditation and also looks at MRI scans showing the impact that the practice has on brain activity. It is fascinating to see the results. The scans showed that mindfulness meditation can make a huge positive impact on stress, pain and even self centeredness. Surely, if the MRI scans are showing how certain parts of the brain activity calms down, teaching children and young people meditation is now VITALespecially with the increase of computers and electronic games.
