Relax Kids offers a range of resources, workshops and training to enable teachers to integrate mediation, mindfulness and relaxation techniques into their classroom. With the rise in child stress and mental health issues, it is becoming more and more important for pupils to take time out and experience calm in their stressful lives.
Relaxation is now becoming a necessity in the classroom. You can access relaxation exercises, scripts to read and MP3s to play at any time during the school day. Regular relaxation can help pupils develop concentration, listening skills, self-awareness, emotional resilience and creativity. Relaxation can also aid pupils who have ADHD, hyperactivity, anger management, stress management and anxiety. These resources are linked to SEAL, PSHE, SEN and Healthy Schools.
Resources can be used during assembly, breaks, after lunch, circle-time, registration, quiet time and during one 2 one sessions. Exercises last from 1min to 10 mins depending on time.
