Relax Kids’ strategies mimic clinically-proven anger management and mitigation treatments such as therapeutic exercise and yoga, breathing exercises, and mindfulness exercises. These can be used as anger management tools, ways to help at moments of meltdown, or methods to make time-outs constructive rather than punitive.

Tantrums and 'paddies' are common with young children. However, when kids have a consistent issue with controlling their emotions and anger, there might be an underlying reason.

Anger disorders can have a negative effect on childrens’ emotional, social, and academic development and their future health:
Issues controlling anger and lower education levels are correlated by research.
Children with anger issues can be extremely disruptive in a classroom setting and potentially distressing for other pupils.
Children with aggression issues show lower levels of social development.
Anger management issues are also comorbid with other conditions such as bipolar disorder and ADHD.
